Ms. Bakshi is a family law lawyer, certified mediator, and accredited collaborative family lawyer. Her work is driven by her passion for helping people through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Ms. Bakshi graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science and continued her education in England, where she obtained both her Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws. Upon returning to the Lower Mainland, she was called to the bar in 2018. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and participates in the Fraser Valley Family Law, Women Lawyers Forum, and Young Lawyers sections. She is also a member of the Abbotsford District Bar Association and the Collaborative Association of the Lower Mainland (CALM).
Ms. Bakshi is deeply committed to empowering her clients throughout the post-separation process and guiding them through the stress and uncertainty that can accompany family law matters. Whether advocating in court or resolving disputes outside of court, she passionately defends her clients’ interests. Protecting children during difficult separations is central to her practice. She strives to untangle the knots rather than break them—focusing on sustainable, cost-effective solutions tailored to each family’s needs, always approaching each situation with compassion and clarity.
Outside of practicing law, Ms. Bakshi loves travelling with her husband, son, and daughter, exploring new foods, experimenting in the kitchen, dancing whenever there’s music, and finding joy in the everyday chaos of family life.
Ms. Bakshi is fluent in Punjabi.
