Erika grew up in the Lower Mainland and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia in International Relations. During this time, Erika was a lifeguard and swim instructor and volunteered with Young Life Canada.
After her undergraduate degree, Erika spent time as an au pair in Germany and as an assistant property manager in France. She then moved on to London, England where she graduated with an LLB in Law (Honours) from Queen Mary, University of London in 2020. Erika completed seven exams through the National Committee on Accreditation upon her return to Canada.
Erika joined Baker Newby as an articling student in June 2022 and upon completion of her articles in June 2023, will join the firm as an associate in the general civil litigation department.
Outside the office, Erika enjoys doing projects at her cabin as well as gardening, sewing, and barbequing a good steak!
