Anisha Grewal practices in the areas of family law, employment law, and civil litigation. She joined Baker Newby as a temporary articling student in May 2023 and returned to complete her articles with the firm in May 2024. Anisha was called to the BC Bar in May 2025.
Born and raised in Abbotsford, BC, Anisha moved to Kamloops to attend Thompson Rivers University, where she earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources and Leadership and a Juris Doctor degree. During law school, she was actively involved in the law school community. She worked as a Teaching Assistant for the “Fundamental Legal Skills” course, and participated in the TRU Legal Clinic and the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Moot. She also served as the Co-Chair of Events for TRU’s Mental Health and Law Club and as the Canadian Bar Association Student Representative. During law school, Anisha was the recipient of the Law Foundation of BC Public Interest Award and the Fariborz Khasha Law Award. In 2024, her paper on First Nations’ Food Security and Self-Governance was selected as the top submission in the Canadian Bar Association’s national essay contest.
Anisha is passionate about community engagement and creating meaningful change. Her past volunteer work includes serving as a Crisis Worker for the Canadian Mental Health Association and volunteering with Legal Aid BC. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Women Transforming Cities and is a member of the Land Conservancy of BC’s Indigenous Engagement Committee and the Canadian Bar Association’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Outside the office, Anisha enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and watching movies.
