Cristen L. Gleeson, K.C., Managing Partner: Cristen joined Baker Newby in 2006, became a Partner in 2010 and joined Baker Newby’s management team in 2019. Cristen was appointed King’s Counsel in May 2023, and is known for being extremely tough and passionate about her work. Cristen has a commanding presence in the courtroom and does not shy away from difficult cases.
Laurence Scott, K.C.: Laurence’s reputation in the Fraser Valley precedes him. He has been a certified Family Law Mediator for eighteen years, and is also a certified Family Law Arbitrator and a certified Parenting Coordinator. Laurence was re-appointed a Governor of the Law Foundation for a second term in January 2020, and in that same year was elected a Director of the British Columbia Parenting Coordinator’s Roster Society.
Jessie N. Ramsay: Jessie was Called to the bar in 2015 and joined the Baker Newby partnership in July 2019. Jessie is on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association Family Law (Fraser Valley) section and is an accredited Family Law Mediator. Jessie is on the Boards of Directors for Stó:lō Community Futures, Stó:lō Service Agency, Chilliwack Community Services, and Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation.
Benjamin J. Lorimer: Ben completed his articles at Baker Newby, joined the Firm as an Associate upon his call to the bar in 2017, and joined the Partnership in January 2022. Outside of the office, Ben is a Director for the Chilliwack Hospice Society and a board member for Archway Community Services in Abbotsford.
Pamela Bakshi: Called to the Bar in 2018, Pam is enrolled in the CBABC Fraser Valley Family Law, Women Lawyers Forum and Young Lawyers sections, is a member of the Abbotsford District Bar Association and the Collaborative Association of Lower Mainland, and is also an accredited collaborative family lawyer and certified mediator
