Brian Vickers was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia. He grew up playing baseball with the Abbotsford Cardinals and went on to play for various universities in Canada and across the United States of America. After exhausting that dream with a short professional career, Brian hung up his spikes and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Sciences at the University of British Columbia in 2010.
Brian graduated with his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in 2014. While attending law school, Brian was elected the Vice President of Academics for Thompson Rivers University’s inaugural Society of Law Students. He began articles with Baker Newby LLP shortly thereafter and joined the firm as an Associate upon his call in 2015.
Brian now works out of Baker Newby’s Chilliwack office. His main practice areas are commercial and civil litigation.
Brian has an impressive record in the courtroom, running four Supreme Court trials recently. Brian has focused in the area of defamation law with considerable success for his clients.
