Todd Harvey was born in Vancouver and grew up in Tsawwassen. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy from Simon Fraser University in 1996 and received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 2001. He articled at a corporate-commercial firm in Vancouver and was called to the Bar in 2002. Mr. Harvey joined Baker Newby LLP in September 2002 and became a partner in January 2006.
 
Mr. Harvey's practice includes general corporate commercial work including the purchase and sale of businesses, including farms, business contracts and commercial lending. He also practices in the areas of commercial real estate transactions, corporate reorganizations, tax-motivated transactions, wills, estates, incapacity planning and estate planning, including trusts.
 
In the community, Todd is the Chair of the Chilliwack Foundation, Vice President of the Chilliwack Hospital and Health Care Foundation, and will begin a two year term as a Director of the Rotary Club of Chilliwack in July 2012
 
He and his wife Keely, and their two children, live in Chilliwack and enjoy sailing, hiking, gardening and camping. Mr. Harvey is also a motorcycle enthusiast.
