Adnan N. Habib
Adnan Habib was born in Durham, North Carolina in 1967. He grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) in Political Science in 1989 and a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.) in 1992 from the University of Saskatchewan. He joined Baker Newby LLP in 1992 and was called to the Bar in November, 1993.
Adnan's practice is dedicated to resolving construction and commercial disputes. He has developed an expertise in the intricate area of builders liens and is able to assist any client advancing or defending a claim in a wide range of disputes involving residential, commercial and institutional projects. He has been involved in numerous construction law cases, large and small, including cases related to bonds, delay claims, extras, and deficiency claims. His practice includes disputes involving shareholders, partnerships, members of registered societies, joint venture agreements, breach of trust and fraud.
Adnan is active with various construction associations. He has served as Vice-President (Education & Training) for the Fraser Valley Homebuilders Association and is a member of the Construction Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association.
He is a frequent lecturer at conferences and seminars sponsored by a variety of associations including the Continuing Legal Educational Society of British Columbia, the Pacific Business and Law Institute, and various chapters of the Canadian Home Builders' Association.
