Kurt Froehlich was born in Chilliwack and raised in Harrison Hot Springs. After graduating from Agassiz Secondary School, Kurt attended the University of the Fraser Valley, where he graduated on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2006. Kurt attended law school at Queen’s University and graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2009. During his first year at Queen’s, Kurt volunteered as a student caseworker with the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic, and was awarded the MacDougall-Watson Memorial Award for outstanding casework by a first year student. Kurt was elected to serve as the male athletic representative of his class with the Law Students’ Society in each of his three years at Queen’s. As a student, Kurt was also actively involved in several committees and clubs.

Kurt worked as a student intern with the Ministry of the Attorney-General Crown Counsel Office in Chilliwack during the summer of 2007, and joined Baker Newby LLP as a summer student in April 2008.

Kurt plans to focus his practice on criminal and civil litigation.

In his spare time, Kurt enjoys playing baseball, golfing, and fitness training. Kurt is proud to live in the Fraser Valley and enjoys the natural beauty and high quality of life the area has to offer.
