We played our annual East Meets West Firm Baseball Game at Farfield Park on Farfield Island.  The sun was out, and both spectators and players had an excellent afternoon followed by chicken and subs for dinner.  In the tongue-and-cheek words of

our Managing Partner:

   "... the Chilliwack team soundly walloped the

    Abbotsford team, led by some guy in a bright

    yellow shirt and flowery shorts and a couple of

    other litigators who, as usual, talked a better

    game than they played !!! "

Our annual family picnic was held at Maple Bay at Cultus Lake.  Lawyers, staff, and their families enjoyed the catered lunch and games for the kids.  The blow-up bouncing castle is always a big hit.

This Easter season brought another decorating theme to the office. Departments made group efforts to decorate their areas, competing for the grand prize of an Easter basket stuffed with goodies. Congratulations to the DOJ area secretaries pictured here, who won the grand prize for their decorating and creative egg costumes.

The Baker Newby Borg kicked off another season. We started the year off with a narrow loss to The Lounge Lizards, but the team is eager to play and hungry for wins. Last year’s team, pictured here, finished the 2002 season with a 3rd place trophy in the “C” division. Good luck this year!
