Natalie Dunbar was born in Lillooet, British Columbia and grew up in White Rock. Ms. Dunbar completed an undergraduate degree in Philosophy at U.B.C. and lived in Vancouver for several years. She attended law school at the University of Manitoba where she was extremely active in the legal community. Some of her involvement included working for the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted, being on the board of Kali Shiva Aids Services and the fundraising committee for Elizabeth Fry. She prepared a legal section for a youth publication, "Harsh Realities" that presented information for street youth.

After graduating from law school in 2004, Ms. Dunbar articled at Legal Aid Manitoba where she continued to work as a staff lawyer after articling. Ms. Dunbar acted for clients in a full range of matters involving the criminal law with a particular emphasis on working with youth.

With a desire to live in the mountains, Ms. Dunbar moved to Chilliwack in 2006 with her spouse and dog. Ms. Dunbar's practice at Baker Newby consists of civil and criminal litigation including acting as Ad hoc prosecutor for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada as well as handling criminal defence work and insurance cases.

Ms. Dunbar looks forward to serving the community of the Fraser Valley.
